Meet Joanna

Joanna has recently completed her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and is working towards becoming a Registered Clinical Counsellor. She has worked in the non-profit sector over the last 10 years, supporting individuals with complex needs from a trauma-informed, harm reduction lens.
Joanna is passionate about working collaboratively with individuals in exploring all pieces of their story, focusing on effective coping strategies and cultivating one’s inner resilience to work through life’s challenges. She believes that everyone brings unique experiences that have led them to this point in their life and will tailor her approach to your unique situation. Rooted in nonjudgment, safety and trust,
She uses a holistic client-centered approach drawing on modalities such as narrative therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, as well as experiential and humanistic therapy. Joanna is caring, compassionate, and committed to supporting individuals reach their goals.
